I think the reason he vetoed the bill was because whoever wrote it stuck in some other items that did not pertain to child health insurance. In this case, they should have re-written the bill and tried again. As we have seen with the stimulus fiasco, that is a hard pill to swallow for Congress. They seem to need wasteful spending and pet projects in every bill. Can somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?Can you give me 3 sources where you heard this from? Can somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?
1. The way they wanted to fund the increases.
2. They wanted to expand the program to people making $80,000 a year and to adults up to 25 years old.
Everyone needs to remember, the Democrats never wanted SCHIP anyway.
Every Democrat in the House, voted against starting the program back in 1997.Can somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?google state health care programs...you'll find that individual states are offering better CHP than the national government ever couldCan somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?
do your own homework ya moochCan somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?because it raises taxes on the poor and middle class to the tune of over $35 billion over just 5 years - smokers. it will also take a lot of people from private coverage to government dependency, which costs taxpayers even more long-term.
you have to understand that the dems' primary goal is to get as many folks dependent on gov't as possible. that's how they get votes and votes = power. Can somebody give me 3 arcticles explaining why bush veto'd popular child health insurance bill?! please!?
Schip is just an excuse for socialized health care.

2 kids / health insurance / child support?
ok 2 kids dad is paying child support including health insurance all the money is included in one check order by the judge he is ok with that, mom had the kids insurance under her policy because under dads was to much and he prove this in court she is not working now what happens now does he pay for private health insurance or does she pay with the money she get from child support and if he pays does he has to modified child support ?2 kids / health insurance / child support?Check answer to your other question on this.2 kids / health insurance / child support? If the mother was handling the health insurance and lost her job, it is up to the mother to get private health insurance since health insurance is being deducted out of the father's child support. However, if this is unable to happen, then this needs to go back to court for modification, and if the father ends up carrying the children under his company policy (which may be expensive but would probably offer better coverage) then he will be paying less child support to the mother.2 kids / health insurance / child support? The person who has the money for the insurance is responsible for providing the insurance. Right now that is the mother. She either needs to go back to court to change the order or pay for insurance out of the portion of the check that is for insurance.2 kids / health insurance / child support?

Odd to help health of children by bill on raising tobacco taxes?
Bush vetoed a bill proposingraising tobacco taxes to help children with health insurence. Does this bill on raising tobacco costs seem odd if in improving the health of children it does so at the expense of adults. Making tobacco more expensive would this be the right approachOdd to help health of children by bill on raising tobacco taxes? What is not odd about Hillary ? We have officailly entered the twilight zone and I gots to get out!Odd to help health of children by bill on raising tobacco taxes? This would make tobacco more expensive. I'm not for making any drug illegal, but I do believe that it is the best plan in order to give the working class their needs without burdening them with more taxes.Odd to help health of children by bill on raising tobacco taxes?I am a smoker and if raising my price means more children will receive health care then SO BE IT! Why the heck not? Why is it we can fund a war but we can not fund children's health? I would much rather my tax funds go for something good right here at home then to pay some debt that I did not incur or ask for.Odd to help health of children by bill on raising tobacco taxes?
On the one hand, it sounds like an incredibly good idea.
On the other hand, the economics work against it.
Raise the taxes, and those who find the increase too much, will quit.
So you lose part of your revenue base. But you've committed to support a specific funding level. Where does the difference come from? It still gets funded... which means other taxes go up.
That's part of his point, which the media is neglecting to point out.
On the other hand, there are other programs that are receiving massive increases in funding that could be used to help fund this type of program.
It all boils down to the guns vs butter debate in economics of a government. At a high level it all sounds obvious, but once you start digging into the nitty gritty, there are all sorts of gotchas.

How do you know if i child has it that has lot of health issues and can not speak?
The wording on this is sketchy at best.
If you are asking about a potential for problems with a child who cannot speak, is this child an INFANT because all infants generally under age 1 don't speak much. Crying is a major clue the child has problems.
If you are asking about a child who SHOULD speak and doesn't then don't ask anyone here, ASK A DOCTOR. This child could have hearing problems, or be autistic, which could cause no speech.
Take your child to a physician for a correct and accurate diagnosis. Doctors can order testing.
Don't waste time on here, we are just guessing. Guessing could be dangerous. How do you know if i child has it that has lot of health issues and can not speak?Yes and no. What are you asking? How do you know if i child has it that has lot of health issues and can not speak?Has what? Autism, aspergers, ADD? You need to clarify your question so that it makes sense in English.

My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?
On his divorce decree it states that he is responsible for any type of medical expense for his daughter does that include co-pays too even if he is paying health insuranceMy husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?My decree states that my son's father is to provide him with insurance. If he cannot, we split it 50/50. Co-pays are also supposed to be split 50/50.
You might want to contact the lawyer so that they can interpret it better - I know that decrees can be confusing.
Good Luck.My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?
You know, my ex owes us over 35 THOUSAND DOLLARS in child support and is a dead beat!
BE GLAD YOU GET ANYTHING!My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?In my decree he pays for Insurance then I pay co-pays and the first 600 a year of doctor bills...The mother should have to pay her part to...However if he agreed to pay any type of medical expense then he could be responsible...That is why you read every word before signing...My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?
Well the co-pay is a medical expense. My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?Only if it reads the way you said it. Any type of medical expense would make him responsible for co-pays. Otherwise he is only half responsible. My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?
I think that should come out of the "child support" payment.chinese recipes

What are some points that prove Child labor was detrimental to children's health both physically mentally?
They worked in hot, dirty, unsafe environments. Children were often sent in to clean or work on machines because they could get in to reach things that adults could not. They worked until they were exhausted and this lead to poor health along with the chemicals they were working with and breathing. What are some points that prove Child labor was detrimental to children's health both physically mentally?lack of obeying laws produces violations of child labor laws causes poor working conditions taxing on physical abilities and mentally draining due to poor working conditions and unhealthy demands of preformance expectationsWhat are some points that prove Child labor was detrimental to children's health both physically mentally?

Does ups have health insurance coverage for a 21 year old child of a ups worker?
a 21 year old, is NOT a child - they are an adult.
As to can they be covered, it's going to depend on what state you are in, if they are a full time student, and if they are your dependent on your taxes or not.Does ups have health insurance coverage for a 21 year old child of a ups worker?ask your benefit rep.Does ups have health insurance coverage for a 21 year old child of a ups worker? It can depend on the hours worked (full-time/part-time). What health plan should i get for my 18 month child.?
I want to go with kaiser and want some opinions on what plans is best for my 18 month child. What health plan should i get for my 18 month child.?I grew up with Kaiser, had babies and surgeries with Kaiser, and now I am still with Kaiser. I really like the positive health slant.
On an individual membership plan there are many choices within the Kaiser group of plans. For a young child needing checkups and shots and tests, etc., you might want to look at a plan that has an affordable co-pay per visit and covers all the routine stuff and emergencies. I didn't see a deductible plan that jumped out at me while sifting through options for my daughter, who just turned 25 and had to go out on her own plan. Outrageous terms and conditions.
Get the best plan you can afford for what you need.
Best wishes
babeWhat health plan should i get for my 18 month child.?Your child will be going to the Doctor frequently so I would definitely get a plan with reasonable co-pays. If your daughter is healthy then you might be able to go for a higher co-pay for hospitalizations. I don't know what your financial situation is but most people can pay off a $3000.00 co-pay within a year of so. Remember that if you do have a high deductible you can make payment arrangements to the hospital for anything that is not elective.
Personally, I like having the best coverage possible because as soon as I pick a high deductible plan my daughter or I will end up needing a surgery or something. It is worth it to me to pay higher premiums for the peace of mind.

If a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?
Quite a lot actually! You'd be best to consult a doctor for a more definative list, but some that I can think of are...
Poor posture and poor eyesight.
Poor general health - being sedentary for most hours of the day leads to poor fitness as there's no exercise being undertaken. This also leads to weight gain and potential obesity. This is also is aggravated by the fact that many people tend to snack whilst sitting at the computer as opposed to taking time out to prepare and eat a real, healthy meal.
Poor sleep patterns can develop as well as fatigue depending on how much sleep he is getting overall. If he's on there most hours of the day and night, then it sounds like he's most likely not going to be getting enough sleep which impacts the body greatly, especially at 14 when there is still a lot of development going on.
And lastly, there are the SOCIAL issues. By spending most of his time on a computer, he's not going out and spending time with other teenagers and interacting with other people, thus learning the important social skills necessary for later life.
At 14, he should really be limiting his time on the computer in favour of getting out and living life while he still can!If a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?You're welcome. I hope your friend pays attention to your concerns - kids need a life outside computers! :)
There will be eye problems, probably, but I think the bigger issues will be his general lack of health due to a sedentary life, and his lack of social development.
There are all sorts of articles about adults losing touch with reality because they live a virtual life. I think it would be tenfold for an adolescent. If a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?eye problems and possibly back problems depending on his/her posture.

Bad eyesight...Blindness!?!?
If the child types a lot...carpel tunnel ....
If child is not sitting properly...back troubles...
If the child just sits there with no other exercise...OBESITY
sitting all day could cause hemorrhoids especially if child is overweight
overall...sounds pretty unhealthy...If a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?He could get eye problems and need glasses. The only other health problem I can see is that he is not getting enough fresh air/exercise and will be more susceptible to cold etc. It sounds like a normal teenage boy though. If a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?
Poor vision
Eye probelms....i'm almost that same age my mom limits my time on week days, but on weekends she lets me stay on as long as i want.....you should use this on him/herIf a child of 14 sits infront of the computer for most day and night ,what health issues is he facing ?
Uhh i dunno but im 15 and thats what i do :P
Only side effects is lack of sleep by staying online too late and thats about it. It can affect eyesight but my eyes are fine at the moment. Some people also get headaches.
Well, i been in front of 4 LCD monitors since i was around 13, and im healthy.
If its CRT screens a slight risk of eyesight problems, but rare.

Is a father 100% responsible for his child's health care on top of the child support in Michigan?
It depends on both the mother and father. If the mother is working and has some insurance, the judge may make the father responsible for dental or vision. However if the child does not and if the mother is not on any medical or public assistance, the father is usually ordered to provide healthcare for the child. In that case the actual child support is reduced. Is a father 100% responsible for his child's health care on top of the child support in Michigan? If that is what the court says. It's still cheaper than raising child alone, which is what he isn't having to do.Is a father 100% responsible for his child's health care on top of the child support in Michigan? Not automatically, no. It all depends on what the judge puts in the support orders.dickey s bbq

Is it legal to withhold earned health benefits from a child because they do not have a social security number?
If they don't have a social security number, does that mean they aren't here legally to begin with? Any argument after that means nothing. Is it legal to withhold earned health benefits from a child because they do not have a social security number?I am not sure what "Earned Health Benefits" means. Are you asking about an employer provided health plan?
Unless the benefits are taxable, the provider should substitute a provider Identification number for the child. It is against the law to use an SSN for identification on anything not government related. Some states, like Idaho, had to stop using SSN for drivers license numbers a few years back when someone filed a protest. Is it legal to withhold earned health benefits from a child because they do not have a social security number?
18 USC 搂242 and 42 USC 搂1983. I'm going with "yes" hereIs it legal to withhold earned health benefits from a child because they do not have a social security number? There is no statutory requirement that anyone born in the US must have a SSN. There are laws that say if you have one that you must produce it under certain circumstances. But there is no law that says you must have one. For those of you who will say I'm wrong.. please post a link to the law that says otherwise.
LOL... so I'm wrong but none of you intellectual troglodytes can say why... That's pretty funny.

I got injured at work and lost my health insurance, what's the cheapest way to get my child health insurance?
I've been on work comp for over a year and after one year my employer stopped my health insurance. I'm don't care about myself but, what's the cheapest way to get my daughter temp health insurance (Texas) until I make it back to work in 6 months. I've looked at website and they want to know my income. I make good money at my job to afford insurance but, work comp doesn't pay anywhere close to what I normally make. Anyone out there ever been in the same situation or know what I can to. Thank you for you time and help. God Bless.I got injured at work and lost my health insurance, what's the cheapest way to get my child health insurance? The cheapest and only way to get your daughter on a policy is Medicaid. Because of Healthcare reform private child only policies are no longer available.
The only way to get her a private policy is for you or your spouse to also get a policy. For this you'll need to contact a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. The agent can find the best plan for your situation and budget. There is no charge using an agent.I got injured at work and lost my health insurance, what's the cheapest way to get my child health insurance?Well, here in California we have Healthy Families. This is also based on income, but it is private insurance that the state chips in on. Check to see if you have something similar. I wouldn't worry about the income requirements too much. They basically have you pay a monthly co-pay based on it, but unless you make more than say like $55,000. here in California I wouldn't worry about it. My Boss is on it and so was I, even though we have private insurance. These programs existed for us poor working stiffs. And when you're on comp every little bit helps.
Oh....and it might help you to know that at least here the monthly "co-pays" are around $6 per child. And even after you are back to work they can stay on it.I got injured at work and lost my health insurance, what's the cheapest way to get my child health insurance?Try applying for medicaid. They won't take you but they will almost always take your children especially if your income has gone down. Medicaid is free to you and will cover pretty much anything for your kid's.I got injured at work and lost my health insurance, what's the cheapest way to get my child health insurance?

Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?
my daughter has been living with her "father" since April. He has not taken her to see the pulmonologist. She had an asthma attack last weekend, it is NOT under control. is this negligence? Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?I wouldnt call it neglegence, rather idiosity !!! children depend on us adults to guide them thru life safely and if thats hindered than we set them up for failure when it comes time for them to make right decisions for thier children. There was a recent case of the same sort here in wausau wisconsin last year about a family that was praying over their child to have god do the healing who had a similar problem and refused to go to a doctor. as a result of their ignorance or religious belief the child died. they wound up in the court system and only got slaps on the wrists. Go figure. I would go the whole nine yards to see that the well being of my offspring was safe no limits on that one...!!!!!!Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?
Hi....Well is her father taking her to ANY other kind of doctor for this medical condition? If her father is TOTALLY ignoring her medical condition, then YEEEESSSSS it is negligence!!!! IF this IS the case, you MUST contact child protective services as soon as possible. But IF her father IS getting his child medical care for this medical condition? And he is just taking his daughter to a different pulmonologist(that you aren't aware of) then you don't have much to stand on.Just make sure that you have ALL of the facts first!!!! Good luck and I hope this child IS well taken care of!!!!!!Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?I think this would be a question better for the police station...but personally I would feel negligent if i didn't take my child to a professional...but there are many people who wouldnt...and alot of the times i cant blame them.
*edit*
VVVV I would disagree with cps as a first option..I would call the police and have them make the father hand the child over....most people who say call cps have never delt with cps..I have..when I was a child and it was more of a nightmare for me than it was for my parents.
*reedit* lol thx whoever for the thumbs down..sheesh..and whatever...all i know is dealing with cps was hell...try it sometime..have a great day lol.Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?
I have asthma and have NEVER seen a specialist for it - one attack in a week in the weather we have been having at least where I live is not grounds to make the assumption that the condition is not being treated and that it is not controlled. Sometimes too much treatment can be a bad as too little. Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?I would say yes. Asthma can be deadly. I would call CPS.
EDIT: The cops can not take custody of the child from the father if they show up and the child is fine! It is not like he locked her in a hot car!Is it negligence if one doesn't take a child to a specialist for a known health care concern? ie asthma?
Mom, I am not a child, and I am fine!!!!!! He is looking through lists doctors now. I am perfectly fine! It was the first attack in over a year! I still have my rescue inhaler, and am not in immediate danger
YES CONTACT THE FATHER IMMEDIATELY IF HE REFUSES PHONE THE POLICE I WOULD GET HER TO A DOCTOR SHE COULD HAVE ANOTHER I URGE YOU TO HURRY

If you give up rights to a child do you have to pay for their health insurance?
No, if you give up rights to that child, then you no longer have any obligations (or rights) to that child. If you give up rights to a child do you have to pay for their health insurance?if you give up rights but the child is not adopted you can be held responsible to financially support that child...including health insurance...until they are adopted...If you give up rights to a child do you have to pay for their health insurance?I'm not an expert on this, however I would suggest you take a tour here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm ,there are expert's tips there.mr tire
Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?
Discuss! Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity? So "beauty" can be and has been quantified, but as you might imagine, is affected by culture, "economic" circumstances, and of course... gender. But that said, beauty generally is not an indicator of health as health varies so dramatically, while physical beauty (e.g., facial structure) may be set well before the onset of some disease. Certainly body shape is used by males to assess reproductive capacity of women, though the males are typically not conscious of such assessments. For instance, when polled, men typically prefer more curvaceous women (well into the range where females consider themselves to be "overweight") over very thin women (e.g., fashion models). Body fat, among other things, is a good indicator of health and excess nutrients available for the development of offspring.
Anyway, too long to go into all of it, obviously. So instead, I'll suggest you read Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty by Nancy Etcoff. ...very nice book that synthesizes much of the scientific research on perceptions of beauty. But before you read that, you should probably read The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins. ...awesome book that provides immense insight into such things indirectly and directly, and really sets the stage for the Etcoff book.Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?
Somehow I doubt it. I know I am no supermodel, however I am in excellent health and I know for sure that I am a damn good mom. I would do anything for my son, and I would do most anything to make sure myself and my family is healthy. Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?no ugly people have kids too
In a sense this is true this is correct, both man and woman usually are attracted to the"pretty"ones as opposed to the homely of our spicies. as a general rule of nature, the best looking of really "any" spicies,is a product of the "best" chemicals, thus the greater chance of producing the "best" offspring! Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... apparently having a symmetrical face is the sign of a good potential mate ...Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?
As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I know that the kind of mate I am attracted to would be considered ugly by many people.
I have some very homely friends that have beautiful children. I don't think looks are a factor in child bearing or health. Is beauty an evolutionary indication of health and potential child rearing/bearing capacity?
Beauty , the hourglass shape , has been found beyond any doubt to be attributes of fertility from times long past. Public opinion !
beauty simply gives you more choice in partners and enables you to pick the best one to have
+kids with
so they can be fit and healthy
thats how it works fo us animals
It can be an indicator of health. You'll notice that in the paintings from Europe, absolutely none show women with warts or pock-marks (from smallpox). Why is that? Such disfigurements are not beautiful -- and they also indicate ill health. Bad teeth -- same thing.

How will you like it when the liberal messiah's "health care allocation" bureaucrats allow your child to die?
If soetorocare isn't snuffed out, this is what we have to look forward to here!

It is a tragedy what occurred in Canada, and it is even more of a tragedy of what occurs daily in the US due to corruption in our privatized health insurance companies.
Fact:
US has higher child mortality rates than Canada.
Fact:
Canadians have a longer lifespan than Americans.
Fact:
Most Canadians are healthier than Most Americans.
Face the facts, Canada is a healthier society, that lives longer, and has less infant deaths than America. Yet, you foolishly provide one instance of tragedy in Canada and expect it to stand against the millions in America.
Our corporatist Obama and his Republican health insurance plan sucks. It is not at all fashioned after the Canadian model.. Now that I have provided the truth, feel free to let your dogmatic ideologies take control of your emotions and have a little outburst. How will you like it when the liberal messiah's "health care allocation" bureaucrats allow your child to die?I find that news report repulsive. The Child is in a vegetative state and prolonging the poor souls life seems cruel and I don't think advisable. I have seen people taken back from near death only to live terrible sad lives for a very short period. Compassion is sometimes required. Who are the parents doing this for themselves os the child?
Letting that child die is the decent and humane thing to do.
Keeping him alive on a ventilator so that his parents can delay dealing with the reality of their child being dead is simply cruelHow will you like it when the liberal messiah's "health care allocation" bureaucrats allow your child to die?I'll like it just fine since I don't have any children. But if you actually pay attention to Fox you need to watch the video below.

If a child is snatched and grabbed by Health and Human Services does anyone hear?
More often than not, when a child is placed in the care of Health and Human Services or the Department of Human Services (DHS) as we call it here, the abuse or neglect is so bad that the DHS had no other choice. Probably the child should have been removed long before s/he is. I have very little sympathy for parents/guardians who allow this to happen and think that they should be held criminally libel in most instances. If a child is snatched and grabbed by Health and Human Services does anyone hear? The CPS worker should give you a notice for court, if you are a parent of the child.
Usually, there is a hearing within 72 working hours from the time the child is detained (a Detention Hearing).
After that, you could expect another hearing within 2 weeks, usually with a mediator and the CPS worker. At that point, they will present evidence and try to get you to agree to it, so they don't have to prove guilt in a trial. This is called the Predispostion Hearing.
If you don't agree to the findings of the CPS worker, it goes to court. They'll supply you with a Public Defender. If a child is snatched and grabbed by Health and Human Services does anyone hear? This would be such a sad situation. I hope it hasn't happened to someone you love. You know, it would be so much better for the children if the biological mother could have considered loving her baby enough to release it to a loving adoptive couple. There are too many children who are not able to be properly parented without some sort of abuse. Many pregnant mothers think this little baby will smile and coo and love them without any crying. Giving life to a little one is a brave thing to do. Releasing a child for adoption is even braver and very loving. If a child is snatched and grabbed by Health and Human Services does anyone hear?Believe it or not but there are people who work for Health and Human Services, Children and Families, HRS or whatever you want to call it, that do have a heart. They care but because of their case load they are spread too thin. They are not super humans.
If a child is placed in one of these departments, the close relatives of that child has a responsibility to the child to make sure they are heard and are safe.
I would do it for any of the children in my family, grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, etc. I would make sure they were being cared for and would do all I could to help the child.
Wouldn't you?

Hetero-Supremacists who voted for Prop 8, would you sleep better or worse if a dying child lost health care?
Say a gay couple adopted a dying child, and they were only protected under health care because of gay marriage rights, and they died because of you... do you feel you've still done the world good? Any new intervention that you believe will solve child and adolescent mental health and well-being issue?
Child and adolecent mental health can only be treated with therapy. The intervention in only the begining of the healing. After the intervention, counseling, therapy and medical treatment is followed. Everything should be done with strict discipline and "willing" to get better.Any new intervention that you believe will solve child and adolescent mental health and well-being issue?A good slap.Any new intervention that you believe will solve child and adolescent mental health and well-being issue?nee d more info much more --but there are many therapies out there
if you did all of this you would see vast beneficicial benefits
All treatment recommended by the doctors should be tested and approved and quite rightly so.
That makes sense right Obviously it costs vast sums of money to test and approve treatments because of the possible damage to people and the subsequent litigation costing millions of pounds.
Drug companies Fund most research and only and I mean only look at treatments, which show the promise of good deal of a profit, will even get examined. 鈥︹€?and thus other therapies do not get recommended by your local doctor or hospital. Despite The fact that some of them do have overwhelming benefits some, which have saved needless operations, needless amputations, needless pain and trauma, needless kidney failures and much loss of life. Drugs are not the answer for depression or any other mental ill ness
This does not help you does it though. when you are ill and suffering鈥攏ot hearing about therapies which can help from a person you look up to and trust Have you heard your local doctor recommend, Massage Spiritual healing, Knieisiology Herbs, Light therapy,.
Depression protocol but these therapies will work for many complaints of a so called mental nature
my research centers around the teachings and study of the Edgar cayce material , with added principles where appropriate. we have thousands of testimonials and results showing years of successful applications of the Edgar cayce material. Please make no assumptions or cast aspersions unless you have studied the material at hand .
Do this and I will guarantee improvements to you inside a day its that simple, of course getting these things in place can be much harder. But we have personnel experience of the effectiveness of them and they do work. Every one of them can have a very beneficial influence on you.
Print this all off save it and enact it and share it --- of course someone to help you get these therapies in your life is invaluable but do not be swayed by them trying for short cuts 鈥?
1,get someone to massage your back and legs at least 3 times a week use peanut oil or a mix of 50-50 olive and peanut oil.
2 use the violet ray machine an edgar cayce device google search this --- 3 times a week on the other days especially on the spine鈥?we use it every day with very positive results
3.get a tent sleep out side 3times a week utilising earth energy - nature can help big time especially with how you feel how much energy you have
4 study and apply good nutrition adequate minerals all of them particularly calcium and magnesium iron essential fatty acids as well omega 3 6 9 protein etc
5 ensure your thyroid is working well
7 ensure you do at least I hr per day some kind of voluntary work when you are able..the reasons you are ill , or poor or have allsorts of bad things happen to you is because of karma -----usually from past lives but some from this one 鈥搗oluntary work will offset your mistakes--- how much it offsets well that is down to god and how much you do. Healing us is in direct proportion to the help we give others ie your healing comes with helping others achieve theirs so if people are doing very little in helping others ---they suffer more and longer...and if they are doing a lot they get well faster....so now you know what to do ,,and like a lot of us are already doing being of service.

Child at 4yrs old still do not have his 2nd molars, what's wrong? Will cause any health problem?
My child is already 4yrs old and I just realised that he only has 18 teeth when child by this age should already have 20. The 2 upper molars are no where in sight...what's wrong?Child at 4yrs old still do not have his 2nd molars, what's wrong? Will cause any health problem? He could be a late bloomer or they could be congenitally missing. Have your dentist take an x-ray or a Pediatric Dentist take an x-ray and check the development of the unerupted teeth. They can give you a better idea of what treatment plans, if any, would be best for your child.Child at 4yrs old still do not have his 2nd molars, what's wrong? Will cause any health problem? As a pediatrician there are a couple of things that I would need to find out,
One, is there any calcium deficiency, and two is there congenital absence of the milk molars...
For this the best thing would be talk to your pediatrician and get an appointment with a pedodontist ,
regards

Will cause any health problem? At age 48, I am also missing 2 molars(on the bottom), never formed any wisdom teeth, and still have 2 baby teeth on the top. This hasn't caused me any problems, but makes it very interesting the first time a new dentist tries to identify which teeth are missing on an xray.Child at 4yrs old still do not have his 2nd molars, what's wrong? HE'S A LATE BLOOMER. SEE THE CHART BELOW
NOTHING IS WRITTEN IN STONE. HE'LL EVENTUALLY GET THEM, DON'T WORRY.

Does the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?
i live in wv.my children got denied for chips due to my income being to high. my job does not have health ins,any suggestions where i can get reasonable ins for my kids? any info will be helpfulDoes the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?I live in New York. there is a program, Healthy Kids. It is an insurance program run through different companys. We got it for our kids when my husband changed jobs and lost our benefits. Every child under 18 is ellegable but depending on your income you do have to pay into it, but it is MUCH less than you would expect. we pay $35 a month for both kids, and the benefits are great. we were able to keep thier pediatrician and dont have to go to a clinic. It is a form of welfare, so you can call in your area to see if something like that is available to you. Anyone is ellegable no matter what you make, you would just have to pay a bit more but not nearly the amount if you were to get it on your own. I dont know what chips is, it may be the same thing.
My kids have Blue cross blue shieldDoes the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?
nope NOT at allllll.Does the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?Chips? Where do you live?
This is a phrase to describe an education objective in the U.S.A.

It brought the education standards to the people instead of bringing the people to the education standards.Does the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?
No. It was only for education. it was G.W. Bush's response to the American student not being ranked #1 compared to the rest of the world.
all i know is the "no child left behind" is a school program.Does the saying "no child left behind" does this include health insaurance?
oh wow
Umm try blue cross and blue shield....and what do you mean by reasonable?? i hope you don't mean cheap, those are your kids. If anything should happen, your kids need to be covered!!!
Blue cross and blue shield is a good option
No, it does not. It refers to a pratice of determining how federal funds are distributed among America;s schools. In reality it doesn't affect the individual child and im sure some get left behind but it was designed to overhall the education system during the last presidential term.
no child left behind refers to an educational program where schools get paid based on the success rate of their standardized tests. It is actually absolutely horrid as it forces schools to treat every child as though they're a machine to be put into a box. It has absolutely nothing to do with health insurance.
all health insurances are different. Your going to have to shop around yourself because you know what coverage you need and at what price. I would recommend though you find a job that provides health care even if your being paid a bit less. Trust me its worth it.
NOPE, TRY BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD
unfortunately, there isnt an answer besides taking out insurance on your own. CHIPS is the last resort for parents that dont meet the income requirements of traditional medicaid.
i would suggest that you find a good clinic that works on a sliding scale based on your income.
Its very sad that there are children like yours(and MANY others) that arent poor enough to get help but dont make enough to buy insurance.
Good Luck on finding a good doc at a local clinic.
Check into Coventry One insurance. I just got it for myself, my son is covered by the state. It's high deductible insurance but it's better than nothing at all.
No it doesn't, no child left behind is an educational program. You'll obviously need to provide supplemental health care coverage for your children. There are plenty of programs out there that will offer various types of coverage based on how much you can afford to pay. Work out a budget, cut down where you can in your daily spending/weekly spending and find a comprehensive insurance plan for your children. Google private health insurance providers and do some research to find which one would be right for you and your family.
buying out of pocket is expensive. There's usually places that will do low cost physicals and immunizations but if something goes really wrong you're screwed. "No Child Left Behind" is just about academics and not health. They're suppose to be expanding SCHIP to higher earners but I'm not sure when and how that's going to work.
im also in wv, and theres really not another option........and we have had blue cross blue shield for the last 3 years, its NOT reasonable, we have it through my husbands employer and it still costs us over 600 per month for us and the 2 kids.......good luck

Health insurance covers the delivery charge of hospital and the born child?
no detail, for to know about the health ins. covarageHealth insurance covers the delivery charge of hospital and the born child?Yes, babies are covered as new borns. You should check with the insurance to see exactly how. Some are automatically covered under the moms policy for the first 30 days of life. Most give you a certain amount of time to add the baby (30-60 days) in which time claims will deny until you have them added. You should check with your insurer.Health insurance covers the delivery charge of hospital and the born child?i hope so, cause hospital bills are a *****Health insurance covers the delivery charge of hospital and the born child?Yes the Health Insurance will cover the Hospital and your delivery and you. It will not cover anything for the death of an infant upon birth. If you are pregnant now, whatever Insurance you have will still be responsible when the baby is born. Not your fault that it takes nine months, unless there is a written stipulation in the policy denying charges if you would happen to change insurances near the nine month date. You may want to read over your policy. Good luck to you young lady.

Is this detramental to a child/person's health?
Is picking your nose and eating it detremental to a childs health? I just found out my nephew has been doing this for quite some time and I've heard mixed answers about if its bad for you or not, I mean obviously it's socially unacceptable and awkward but I'm more worried about his health. Thanks! Is this detramental to a child/person's health?Well, jeez, Shannon. That's a disgusting question, and usually questions like that are a joke, but I actually think you're serious, so here goes: Boogies are collections of dirt, bacteria, and pollutants from the air that enters the nostrils (external nares). The nostrils are lined with fine hairs to facilitate capturing this schmutz, and I believe the skin layer of the interior of the nostrils is mucous membrane, but in any event, the epidermal lining of the nostril interiors is moist with mucus secretions, so the yuk that is trapped by the hairs and by the sticky mucus itself dissolves or is trapped in the external nares and does not go further into the respiratory system.
To some extent, this little schmutz trap inside the nose acts like your eyelashes, keeping out dirt, but it also is a coarse bacteria filter as well. Usually, the collections of nose junk we call boogers are just blown out or cleaned out by the nose's owner, but occasionally--and particularly among the very young still exploring the orifices and potentialities of various body parts--they are harvested and consumed as a snack. Basically, what your nephew is doing is snacking on the stuff trapped in one of the body's garbage disposal systems, so he is consuming dirt and bacteria in a nice chewy medium (yuk). Of course, once he sticks it into his mouth, the enzymes in his saliva and ultimately the hydrochloric acid of his stomach probably destroy the bugs that, had they been inhaled directly into his respiratory system, could have wreaked some havoc. So it's doubtful that he is actually hurting himself.
But you might want to have a discussion with him about the slime that clings to the edge of empty garbage cans and the yuk that sticks to the garbage disposal after the garbage has gone through it, and then give him an anatomy lesson, if he's old enough to understand.
My sister, who I'm not sure ever indulged in boogie snacks, had a thing about other people in her grade school classes who did indulge, and from her I think I learned that boogies are reputed to be a little sweet. So alternatively, you might want to get the kid some Jujubes and offer him one the minute his finger heads headward.
I really answered this question because of your name. Are you related to the woman with the same last name who lives near Pelham Bay in the Bronx, NY and is in her early 70s?
In any event, good luck with your nephew. Nose content harvesting and snacking is a disgusting habit not uncommon among young kids exploring themselves, and it is more disgusting than dangerous, but if you can get him to stop, it wouldn't hurt.Is this detramental to a child/person's health?Kids have been doing it for centuries. It's gross, but not going to make the child sick. This is just dried mucus that lives in the nasal passages. Some of it naturally slides down the back of the throat anyway. But if your nephew persists with this habit, he will be ostracized and made fun of by other children. That would be detrimental to his emotional health.

Need advice about food health/safety in Egypt - travelling with a child?
Next year I will be travelling to Egypt with my husband and 8 yr old daughter. I am totally paranoid and fearful about getting sick from either the food or the water. (A lady I work with just got back from a tour where she was the only one who didn't get sick). Is it true that you can't even shower with your mouth open? Is it a bad idea to bring a child on a tour?Need advice about food health/safety in Egypt - travelling with a child?Drink only bottled sealed mineral water. Brush your teeth with it.
Eat cooked food at a good restaurant or at your hotel. For salads and fruits eat only what is peeled.
Do not drink a very cold drink after a long time in the sun or when it is hot.
Squeeze a fresh lemon on your food when possible.
Concerning food there are no big name diseases, it is a matter of changing your eating habits and vulnerability due to traveling and changing your place. Eat with moderation, choose light food that is nearest to your regular meals. Boost your immunity system by taking vitamins.
When you order a cold drink ask for it without ice.
Use a good sun blocker, wear a hat, wear cotton clothes like a loose cotton skirt and cotton T shirts. Your hat should cover the back of your neck, carry a bottle of water and drink often, wear comfortable shoes with cotton socks.
That should do it. Enjoy your trip.Need advice about food health/safety in Egypt - travelling with a child? When traveling anywhere it is best to drink bottled water. Local water and things cook in it can cause you to get sick because your body is not used to it.
There are American restaurants all over the world so you have that option and if you know some locals, have them show you some good spots.

If a man pays child support does the attorney general make his employer deduct health insurance?
if it is court ordered than yes, i too pay support and ordered if i have insurance then the kid must have insurance at my expense. If a man pays child support does the attorney general make his employer deduct health insurance? As Dawn above said, it is strictly what your divorce papers state. The Attorney General has no authority to deduct anything on his own. I had an order to maintain health insurance, pay all deductibles plus continuing education beyond high school if it was uninterrupted. (She had a GREAT lawyer). It was to help my children, so I cant and didnt complain. I hope this helps you.

The Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???
why would he do that if he is a born again Christian? but then is asking for gazillions of dollars for a war?The Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???"if" he is a born-again Christian...i strongly suspect that dubya's religiosity and public piety is just another campaign gimmick-i have seen nothing remotely Christian in his policies or his actions...he worships money and power, and is a faithful servant of both...face it, the last Christian (as opposed to 'christian') president we had was jimmy carter, and the self-righteous right did all they could to destroy himThe Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???
This is, of course, the same guy who said that God told him to invade Iraq. Are you really that surprised? The Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???I would rather see a sermon than hear one.People can say anything.
It's better to Bomb Iraqi Children than to give American children healthcare?... hmmmmmThe Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???The president vetoed the bill because it expanded the child health care bill to extend it to people who earn up to 80 grand.
If a parent that makes 80 grand cant prioritize their childs healthcare as a top expense then blame the parents if their child isnt insured.
The fed gvt has NO business, esp no constitutional business providing healthcare benefits to anyone, let alone people that make more than enough to provide healthcare to their own children.
Bush vetoed the ability for people to leech off the american taxpayers when they are in no position to leech. The Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???
Religion has no party. America elected him - not once but twice. He is in office until 2008. Let him do his job until then. Then America will vote on someone else. And the madness will continue.
First, this is not the politics section.
Second, I don't know if he's a "born again Christian" or not.
Third, two of the reasons he vetoed it are the 30 billion dollar yearly price tag and the fact that it would extend coverage to people making $80,000 a year. I'm all for helping poor children get health insurance. I'm not so sure that people making $80K qualify as "poor". If they do, then I guess I'm destitute. The Prez just slapped a veto on the child health care bill! I thought Republicans are ppl of Christ???
this aint a question ,more bush bashing.the chikd care bill sucked, be glad they did fool
All I can say is, you will know a born again Christian by their fruits. I cant judge anyone's beliefs, however his fruits seem fairly rotten. Where is our country's priorities? Sad.
EDIT: Read a bit about the bill, doesnt sound like the best thing in the world really, however he has made horrendous decisions on many other things
I guess it's because he needs those children to continue to live in poverty so they will grow up and join the military and they can become cannon fodder. It's not the rich who are sacrificing their children to this war even though they started it. They want the poor to fight it for them.
Only he can answer to God for the things that he does.
But what makes you think that republicans are people of Christ? Because they say so? Look to peoples actions as well as to their words, and you will know Gods people from those who just say they are.
It's simple, really. Republicans are opposed to collateral benefit but in favor of collateral damage.
Call it what it is. It's the Republican Big Lie coming home to roost. The Big Lie of course is that that raising taxes is bad for the country ;It's not Sometimes raising taxes is good for the country because it insures that the stuff that that the country needs to buy has a source of funding that doesn't involve borrowing money and the interest that comes with that process.
So Mr.Bush has a basic accounting problem . Even with borrowing money his revenue will not cover his expenses . He cannot increase his income so he has to cut his expenses. He can't reduce the expenses of his horribly misguided little war so American children get to suffer due to the extreme incompetence of their President
Politicians will be politicians will be politicians. Bush says what he thinks will get the votes of the Christians of the gullible variety...IOW, he courts the naive ones.
The bill classified someone as a child up to the age of 25 years old.
The bill will be passed with increased spending, but not for 25 year olds.
The Dem's put things in the bill so it would get vetoed, and they could then lie about it, for political reasons.fondue

Child health question?
My nephew is eight years old and is in the third grade. He's a happy little boy, at least that's what I thought. Lately, his parents are noticing that he wakes up in the middle of the night, sits up, and start crying? I don't know what is going on. Nothing at home for him has changed. At school however, his grades has dropped dramatically, and he is normally a bright child making above average marks. His parents think he is going through a phase and will get over it soon, but I think this might have something to do with bullying at school? Last week he got detention for bullying a little boy, and that to me was pretty odd, because he has never done that before. What I think is that he gets bully at school and gets in trouble when he tries to defend himself. But I'm not sure, because he won't tell me. Can someone please help me? How do I get him to confess? Or is this behavior even has to do with his school? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.Child health question? The fact that his grades have dropped off dramatically is an indication there is something going on at the school between him and maybe a group of others. The other kids are probably threatening him if he tells on them, and so he's repressing this, thus the reason why he's waking up at night crying. Try taking him to a happy place like McDonald's for instance, and when you're eating, ask him if there is anything he would like to share with you about what's happening at school. Tell him that you won't tell anyone if he doesn't want you to, but that you really would like to help him. He needs to know he has someone he can trust to talk to without the fear of it getting back to the school system, because if it does and they talk with the other kids they will make it harder on your nephew. This is the kind of relationship I have with my grandchildren. A lot of times children won't talk to their parents about things, but will talk to another family member.Child health question?someone needs to talk to his teacher to find out what is going on at school.the only way they will talk to you is if you act like the mother. they might ask for you to come in for a meeting so be careful.Child health question? You are probably right about the school bully thing. Often teachers see something happening and make their conclusion about what went on immediately, without consulting the children involved. Automatically believing what they see or what one child says. The waking up in the middle of the night thing however is probably just nightmares. A lot of kids go through phases where they have a lot of nightmares, it may have something to do with the bullying, or it could just be something like a food he eats.
Five Year Old Child health?
I have a 5 year old nephew. He is a very smart child. However, I am very concerned about him and I don't know if I should be. He stutters and seems socially withdrawn. He does play with other kids but not a lot. For example, I took him to his cousins birthday party a few months ago. All the kids were running in and out of the house playing having fun but he just sat in the bedroom playing by himself.. Now as far as the stuttering goes, well he didn't used to stutter at all. It just started one day all of a sudden and hasn't stopped yet. His parents seem to think that nothing is wrong. His dad is an asshole. The kid is a very sensitive little boy and his dad is constantly pushing him to be more boyish. If the child cries his father tells him that the other children in school will not be his friend and I have even heard him making fun of him for crying about something. He does not stutter all the time but he does do it A LOT! and also when he is stuttering, there are some times when he stamps his foot on the ground like he is trying to force the words out. When I mention something to his mother she gets all pissed off like I over step her being the mother.. Oh and another thing the child keeps large pupils... Please can anyone offer any advice?Five Year Old Child health? That is your Nephew so you have every right to be concerned and voice your opinion. We have to be the voice for all children. So with that said....
Are you sure there is no sexual abuse going on? Some of his symptoms could suggest so.I don't know how you could bring it up without being blunt, but I would anyway.
Men do want their boys to be tougher..I think a lot fear that if they are not tough then they will turn out gay...men are strange at times.
It would be up to her though to take her son and have him checked out for being social withdrawn and stuttering.
The pupil thing could just be the way his eyes are.My daughter has one that is large and one is small..just the way they are(I have had them checked out at different times since her birth) As long as they respond to light(like dilating) I wouldn't be so concerned with that. You could play a flashlight game with him and check him yourself.
We all have a gutt instint...if you feel something is wrong..don't wait..tell someone!Five Year Old Child health? If the child keeps large pupils, someone may be medicating him. You need to ignore the mother and have it out with her and if she gets pissed off, tell her that Children's Protective Services can adjust her attitude and make her wish she had protected him from the child abuse by his father. She is guilty also for not protecting the little guy. The abuse may be the reason for most of the stuttering. If the father is treating him that badly, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there is also some physical abuse involved. He has found that by playing alone and isolating himself from others, he is less likely to be abused or made fun of for stuttering. That is a lonely world for that precious child to live in for the rest of his life. If you have to call CPS to investigate, do it and don't feel bad about it.
Please stand up for him because there is nobody else who even cares. He is worth loving and he is worth saving. I know you can do it.Five Year Old Child health? You have expressed your concerns to the parents and now you have to let THEM do what they feel is right for THEIR child. I am sure they have talked to the little boys doctor about any concerns they may have. Most parents want to do the right thing for their child. You have no idea what the child's parents and doctor have done for the child. He may have already been checked out and there really isn't a problem. You need to drop the comments to the parents. It sounds like you are going too far.

Should pregnant women be held accountable for the health and well being of their unborn child?
If a mother decides to keep it she should be held responsible for that baby's health. I'm not saying if she ate a hamburger/junk food or god forbid didn't quit smoking she should be hung from her thumbs. But if she intentionally does things to grievously harm that baby she should be held accountable.Should pregnant women be held accountable for the health and well being of their unborn child? They should do everything they can to bring a happy and healthy baby into the world. So yes, if they do something intentially that could harm the baby then they should be held accountable.Should pregnant women be held accountable for the health and well being of their unborn child? If the child is born with either Drugs or Alcohol in its system I think they should!!Should pregnant women be held accountable for the health and well being of their unborn child?depends whats wrong with the baby. if it's like cerebal pulsy, (sp??) than no the mother can't help that, but if the baby is addicted to crack, or something like that than yes. but it all depends on how the mother treats the baby inside of her.Should pregnant women be held accountable for the health and well being of their unborn child?
If they are choosing to keep the baby and not abort it, yes. Just as much as they are held responsible for out-of-womb children.nada boats

Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?
I just read an interesting article about hormones and breastfeeding.
"It said the researcher, Professor Sven Carlsen, said the child鈥檚 health is actually determined by the hormone balance in the mother's womb, with a high level of male hormones affecting both her ability to breastfeed and the baby鈥檚 health."
Your thoughts on this?
http://www.nhs.uk/news/2010/01January/Pa鈥?/a>Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?I find it interesting that the newspaper article says 'this study says there is no difference nutritionally between the two'.
I've READ the study (rather dry and boring reading, but still) and NOWHERE in it does the author come to the conclusion that there is no nutritional difference between the two.
The study focuses solely on factors that appear to influence the breastfeeding SUCCESS rate of women, and says that women with high levels of male hormones in their bodies while pregnant appear to have a lower chance of success. Now given that most of the women I know who struggled to breastfeed had MALE children, I feel there is a good bit of circumstantial evidence to back that up.
The study also concluded that maternal smoking, alcohol consumption, and low maternal weight also increased the chances of poor breastfeeding success- which are things that lactation consultants have been telling us for years!
I HAVE read an extract of a study that DID say there is no difference between the two, HOWEVER it said that 'after eliminating the variables of parental lifestyle, nutrition, intelligence and education levels there appears to be minimal difference between breastmilk and formula nutritionally' It also said that there appears to be a major psychological development advantage to the breastfed babies.
What needs to be remembered when reading these things is that they are STUDIES, research if you will, working to increase our knowledge and point us in the right direction for future studies- they are NOT scientific fact!Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?
I think breast is best, and it will always be this way, but I also think the benefits of breast milk are exagerated, along with the horrors of formula. I have seen breastfed babies get sick, and formula kids as healthy as a horse. I believe the benefits of breastfeeding are 1) not set on stone, 2) more on the emotional and psicological side of both the mother and the baby than physical.Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?The article also says, "The researchers have supplied no evidence to back up their claim that there is no benefit from breast milk."
Without getting into the specific science of it, there's a reason why women were developed to produce milk for their young. Otherwise, we would have no breasts. Because that is their primary function - to feed our young (regardless of whether you use them for that purpose or not). If it weren't so, we'd have two cans of Enfamil strapped to our chests.
I'm curious whether Dr. Carlsen is getting some funding from formula companies, perhaps. It's entirely possible. It's pretty clear through the personal anecdotal experiences of many moms in the US, at least, struggling to nurse their babies, that the formula manufacturers are sending subliminal messages to mothers that undermine the breastfeeding relationship and make them rely less on nature and more on their product. Plus, the hospital/doctors often get compensated for it.
Even if that one man's opinion is correct, to me there are still many other reasons to breastfeed. It's easier, it's free, it's a way to bond with baby. I just hope no one reads that and makes the decision to use formula based on an article.
I actually was watching "The Doctors" the other day, and they were discussing breastfeeding. One of the Dr's actually said something along the lines of "formula is almost exactly like breast milk now that it contains DHA, and is a perfect alternative to breastfeeding." I just thought about how that statement would go over on Y!A, lol.Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?There are about a million things wrong with this claim, but the one that immediately jumped out at me is the assumption that all, or even most women who don't breastfeed do so because they 'can't'. True inability to breastfeed is VERY rare. Most women who formula feed do so by choice, or due to lack of advice or support, NOT lack of milk. (And the hormonal issue is far more complex than just 'too much testosterone' = too little milk.)Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"?
of course breast milk is better.. its real milk and the way initially intended for every mother to feed their child until aomeone was lazy and created fake milk.. formula is a powder milk that can live on a shelf for like a year and then u add water to it.. how is that milk? breast milk is way better for a baby.. breastfed babis see and hear better.. have higher i.q.s and are less likely to get sick and if they do get sick its for like 2 days.. they are less likely to have developmental issues.. its just better
I LOVE "scientist" crap! Sorry, but people put sooo much stock into what "scientists" say, and it changes all of the time. When I had babies, it was. "Put them to sleep on their stomaches, in case they throw up, so they won't choke." Now, it's, "Put them to sleep on their backs, because there is less SIDS". People don't believe in God, thanks to "scientists".

They're making fun of that "scientist".
It says later "The researchers have supplied no evidence to back up their claim that there is no benefit from breast milk."
They tried, but sorry, you can't put live white blood cells in a can.
It says right in the second paragraph that "the researchers have supplied no evidence to back up their claim that there is no benefit from breast milk". I'll wait to see the evidence before I let this study influence any of my decisions.
That is one researcher and his opinion not borne out by years of studies, in other words that is one person against a tsunami of evidence that says otherwise. Utter horse sh*t.
In the debate of breast milk vrs. formula: formula has come along way to be very healthy for babies but breast milk will always be best. There is no way to scientifically put the mothers natural antibodies into a can of formula.
Most studies have found that breast milk is better. Until there's more of a scientific consensus, Professor Carlsen's claims are not something to base your decisions on.

Is rickets is danger for child health?
Yes. It's bone deformity caused by lack of vitamin D and/or malnutrition.
A breastfeeding mother should be exposed to sunlight on a regular basis. Is rickets is danger for child health?Yeah.

What is the def of dependent and individual health ins when calc child support. use family cover or child?
I am trying to determine how much health ins. gets deducted from wages to arrive at a net income. Is it family coverage or just the child's coverage? What is the def of dependent and individual health ins when calc child support. use family cover or child? On either parents Insurance invoice it will list the Employee + Dep and should list out the costs separately. The amount of the child's coverage (dependent) should be the only thing deducted from wages to arrive at a net income.
Is this what you are asking? What is the def of dependent and individual health ins when calc child support. use family cover or child? Most states require the non-custodial parent to provide health insurance for the child ONLY.What is the def of dependent and individual health ins when calc child support. use family cover or child?Since most insurances will not allow just a child to be on the insurance, and not the employed parent, I would go with the family coverage. However, I was told by my lawyer to "not be a nice person" during my legal process. This advice was golden! I wouldn't have gotten custody of my kids if I would have done it my way. What ever works to your advantage, go that direction! Don't just sway that way, be a warrior for your decision! No surrender, no retreat!

Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?
I need information on whether it is common or heard of that child molesters often have prostate problems? This is urgent and important. I don't care if it is in history somewhere. I thought I heard that it was even common for pedophiles and sexual abusers etc.. to have these issues.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?Hopefully it does. Hopefully they get castration-itis too.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?
I don't know why they would have more prostate problems that average, but erectile dysfunction makes sense. If they're turned on by little kids, it's probably likely that they have trouble getting turned on by the grown women (or men) who are their partners. This would look a lot like erectile dysfunction, even if that's not really exactly what it is.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?Who knows and that is an odd question, I've never heard that before.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?

This would look a lot like erectile dysfunction, even if that's not really exactly what it is.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?Who knows and that is an odd question, I've never heard that before.Do pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?
I don't think it makes much difference what your sexual orientation is, this things happen with age, pills and stressDo pedophiles and child molesters ever have prostate health problems or erectile dysfunction?God, I hope so!
Why Did Individual Health Insurance Plans For Children Suddenly Disappear?
For some reason, new individual health insurance policies for ALL children suddenly disappeared. What could have caused so many health insurance companies to suddenly discontinue issuance of child-only individual health insurance policies? Why Did Individual Health Insurance Plans For Children Suddenly Disappear? They didn't.

Now that parents can insure their offspring until 26 under their employer provided policies, there is no need to buy and extra more expensive policy from another source while their children are in grad schools.
Costs a corporation more to provide a rarely used service. Why Did Individual Health Insurance Plans For Children Suddenly Disappear?Private insurance companies don't make any profit in insuring sick people so they pull out when a bill forced them to do so.
This is an excellent demonstration on why non-private, or highly-regulated universal health-care is needed. Why Did Individual Health Insurance Plans For Children Suddenly Disappear?

Why do children have health issues, what causes that?
I'm writing about child obesity and need to describe my social group which is children. I need to state why they have health issues what causes it ... could it be there age or because there just young. Lets say for example i was doing old people instead that would be easy as i could say old people have health issues simply they are old they have reduced immunity , reduced mobility, diet because of housing conditions etc.... But I'm struggling to start my description on children what could i write about them???Why do children have health issues, what causes that?99% of the time it has to do with the **** foods their parents feed them and lack of exercise. Most kids these days would rather be on the computer instead of going outside to play. Some children may have an under active thyroid also.
When does your child stop visiting the health visitor for weigh ins/check ups?
to me i would say 2 yrs old. my daughter will be three in december and i plan on not taking her in for a well baby check up. i see no reason cause she doesn't need any shots or anything. all will be done is weight check and height check along with being asked if i have any question. when she was checked at 2yrs she was eating well and growing fine. When does your child stop visiting the health visitor for weigh ins/check ups?they get discharged at 3 and a half from the he alth visitor but as terms of weighings thats up to you check ups are until they get discarged from the healthvisitors care at 3 and a half when they are in reception class and they are under the care of the school nurse then.

But I'm struggling to start my description on children what could i write about them???Why do children have health issues, what causes that?Do you mean why do they have MORE health issues than adults? This is because their immune system is not as developed. Also their size can have a lot to do with it. Smaller body size means they lose body heat faster, as well as dehydrate quicker than an adult. But the main reason children get sick more often than adults is the under developed immune system. PS old people have more health problems not because of lowered immune systems but because they are old, and their body is breaking down.. They get "Worn out".Why do children have health issues, what causes that?Because obesity in childhood frequently tracks into adulthood, increases in childhood overweight and obesity clearly are major contributors to the adult obesity epidemic. Children express the same comorbidities that are associated with being overweight and obese as adults. Thus, being overweight during childhood brings with it comorbidities that will increase the duration of comorbidities in an individual by one to two decades, a factor that can increase the impact of a number of risk factors on adult diseases.

What do you do when your child has obvious mental health problems but they are in denial and are over 18?
do not intervene unneccesarily
your presence will be felt
your child has its own life to run
some parents do a lot, say a lot, the children follow the parent and sometimes to the point of worship
even worse some use fear to energize thier child and force somekind of overcoming of resistance
only the worst parents have bad reputations with thier children
remember you are facilitating your child's process
it is not your process
do not intrude
do not control
do not force your own needs and insights into the foreground
if you do not trust your child's process, he or she will not trust you
imagine that you are a midwife; you are assisting at someone else's birth. do good without show or fuss. facilitate what is happening rather than what you think ought to be happening. if you must take the lead, lead so the mother is helped, yet still free and in charge.
when the baby is born, the mother will rightly say: "We did it ourselves!"
do not intervene unnecessarily

Nothing - You can only be there for the him or her.
This is not about "not caring" - You do care.
You also have to care about the self-autonomy of someone else.
Be an independent roll model. What do you do when your child has obvious mental health problems but they are in denial and are over 18?Sit down with them and try to express your concern, with the utmost sensitivity. If that dosen't work, be there to help them through the struggles of life.
Hello guignolet. What mental problem has your "child"? Was he diagnose by a doctor?...Maybe giving more information can help us to give you an answer. To have the word of the doctor maybe can help you to communicate with your son/daughter. If he is diagnosed by a doctor and he prescribes medicines, you have the right to tell your son to take them. Also you can go to sessions with the doctor and your son to find the root of the problem. When did this mental problem started? What was the cause?....Maybe I will sound hurtful but sometimes the root of mental problems is in the family. Argentox2@yahoo.comWhat do you do when your child has obvious mental health problems but they are in denial and are over 18?You can only encourage them to seek help. What do you do when your child has obvious mental health problems but they are in denial and are over 18?
This is a tough one. My family has had to deal with my depression for many years. The things that have helped most- offering unconditional love and support and not treating me like a "mental patient," not cutting me off from normal family activities but understanding when I couldn't quite get there, sharing their lives and letting me be there for them, to get me out
of my own head for a while, praising me when I did make any positive steps toward helping myself, and not criticizing me when I stumbled.
Mental illness is a very complicated issue. Scientists are still fumbling about in the dark trying to find out what's going on up there. I know that what I've advised is a tall order, but it's really all you can do.
Also, you might look into a support group for families living with this issue. It is important to take care of yourself so you can be strong for your loved one. Good luck to you.
if he/she is a danger to his/herself or other then you have to section them sounds bad but you wont help him/she other wise from first hand knowledge when i had my daughter i suffered from mental health problem and my husband section me i was so pissed off at him, but as the days went by i realised he had done the right thing and also realised this must have really took a lot of strength for him to do that he said he hated doing it but knew he needed to do it for me to get better now i am fine and that was 3 years ago (well at least i hope) lol you are not trying to force whats best for you on him/her you are not being controlling if your child is un well then he/she needs help when you are in that frame of mind (unwell) you don't know that you are ill until you get better and you look back you see how ill you was.trust me i know i have been there and if my husband didn't have the courage to do what he did then god only knows where i would beWhat do you do when your child has obvious mental health problems but they are in denial and are over 18?
I'm not a parent but a friend of my a couple of years ago was displaying signs of an eating disorder- another mental health issue. We were all terrified about how to handle it, for fear that if we (my other friends and I) confronted her, it would make her hide it more.
So in the end we just tried to show her whenever we could that we loved her... made a fuss of her on her birthday, invited her out as much as possible, tried not to give her crap when she was a bad friend (which, through the illness, she often was).
I'm happy to say that she appears over the worst of it. SHE made the decision to go to the doctors (twice actually, first time they told her to take sleeping pills and come back when she'd put on weight!!!!) and SHE made the decision to make changes in her life (quit the job that was making her depressed etc).
Support is the key word.
If it's something extreme then try contacting a help group to talk through what you're having to deal with but if it's mild just let them know you're always there for them when they want to talk about it.
Good luck
Be there for them and give them love. "A Road Less Travelled" by Scott Peck will Help you to do this.
If they ask you questions and stop denying the situation you will be able to help them further. But until then it is a waiting game.
I do not think this is a pleasant situation for you. Try not to worry as you are doing the best you can, and please find your own support.
there is nothing you can do try to be their when thay need help if you are really concerned for the safety ring the police and tell them that this person is going to self harm gett them arrested and hope thay section them
Ok im not dealing with a child with mental health problems but a partner and he too is in total denial. It seems an impossible situation to me because he is an adult and so i have no rights to drag him to his GP. All i seem to be able to do is keep telling him gently that he needs to see a doctor and hopefully at some point he will listen to me? So alas I can completely understand your concerns.Even though you are a parent since this child is over 18 im unsure if you have any rights? The only thing I can suggest is for you to talk to your local Doctor and ask for telephone numbers of some good organisations that can perhaps give you some practical ideas on it all. Goodluck x

How would you explain the health and safety at work act to a child?
first answer is best answer :)
if its good enough (Y)How would you explain the health and safety at work act to a child? It's the law that tells bosses how to keep their staff safe and healthy at work.
Then I'd explain it 'in context'. Choose a job that the child is fairly familiar with, and explain how the Health and Safety Act applies to that job.
For example
- Lollipop Lady has the colourful outfit and big lollipop to make sure that people can see her easily in the road.
- Similar for rubbish collectors
- Hairdresser has to be trained properly to use the various chemicals, scissors etc to keep herself safe
Use your own job if your child's familiar with that too (or are you the teacher? - if so, use that)
I think children understand things like this better when they're applied to something that's real for them. How would you explain the health and safety at work act to a child?Basically, it ensures that people can work in a safe environment.
The act means that employers have to make sure they take steps that the workplace is safe and accidents are avoided where possible.
I also means employees have to look out for one another and make sure they try and reduce accidents.
You could point out that before that legalisation came into place, there things like mills which had a a lot of exposed moving parts, dust everywhere (which choked the employees and gathered in their lungs) and noise (which left them deaf). The places where hell, and there were a lot of accidents and people left crippled or dead due to accidents that could have been avoided.
How would you explain the health and safety at work act to a child?"All businesses want to make money. Whether one person owns them or a whole lot of people share the ownership, they want to make money, otherwise why own the business?
"Most businesses make enough money to keep the owners happy, but when one doesn't, they sometimes save money by doing things that make working there not as safe as it should be. This law says they can't do that any more."How would you explain the health and safety at work act to a child?
