I'm 14 years old and I sadly missed out on the Nintendo 64 era. I played some games but only for a few minutes. They seem really cool (Games like DK64, Banjo Kazooie, Conkers bad fur day, Ocarina of time, Mario 64 etc.) I'm wondering if I would enjoy them as much as gamers did back than. Man, i never did beat the Shadow Temple on Zelda, i think i may go do that now.
yea i think you would. im a modern gamer who has a ps2 and xbox 360 elite for playing online and multiplayer. only that stuff cuz after i beat the games its boring. but my favorite console is the nintendo 64. the graphics arent bad (get a expansion pak) and its really fun. the games have alot more levels and story plot than newer games. by the way conkers bad fur day is AWESOME!!! i can't stop playing it, i got it last week and havent beaten it yet! the stories really good and funny. also the multiplayer in conkers bad fur day is AWESOME!! you run around as teddys or squirrls and blow the crap outta each other with rocket launchers m16's and more. (also lots of blood) there are many good multiplayers for n64.

Yeah it'd be the same. I have a 64 and it's kick ***. I doubt anything can beat it. You'll defiantly enjoy it. Try getting games for it like Banjo Tootie or Mario Part 2 stuff like that and I'm 15 so yeah it'll be awesome.
I tried to play on my old nintendo 64 the other day. I found that i couldn't enjoy it at all. This might have been because i had just been playing on uncharted 2 and the graphics are amazing.
no idea but I still love going back and playing them you should play the SNES games too you can emulate em with ZSNES. and the N64 with project 64

It does. I cried when Everquest Online Adventure for playstation didn't take off like I thought it would. That game rocked in beta and I had lived for it years before. My husband and I had to stop playing to save our marriage.

Well there are afew options out there though the military is nothing like a game. You could do work with Simulations but most Simulation games are constructed from government defense companies. The other is to get your 4 year degree, join, and pilot unmanned aerial vehicles. Well there are afew options out there though the military is nothing like a game. You could do work with Simulations but most Simulation games are constructed from government defense companies. The other is to get your 4 year degree, join, and pilot unmanned aerial vehicles. There are a lot of possible answer so I will do my best to cover the basics.
Types of computers: In this case you are really looking at operating systems (hereby referred as OS). Either Windows, Macintosh, or Linux (Unix is a primarily server OS and will not be covered here). Windows is the most common OS and has the largest percentage of games available to it. Mac and Linux have a very small percentage, however you can emulate windows on top of these OS's and play games on that. The downside is that it requires more computer resources to play a game on an emulated OS than on a native OS, usually to the tune of 1.5x the amount of resources.
Hardware: It depends on what game(s) you are going to play, some have very high system requirements (like Crysis) and some do not (like Solitaire). Your usual controller would be the keyboard and mouse though you can get a game pad that works with a computer.
Price: Difficult to say due to the variety of whats out there and what you plan to do with it. I spent $3,000 on mine (beginning of 2006), but it has bells and whistles most people don't need (i don't even use some of them) and i recently built one for my cousin at around $1300, which is now better than what i have.
If i had to make a guess, you could spend $1200-$1800 that would give you a computer that will last you for some years to come. As for what kind of computer...well, just find what games you want to play and look at their recommended requirements and get something along those lines.

Computers - Definently PC, AMD processor, Get something like the Ati radion 9700 or the Ge4 fx
Controllers - None needed, unless racing, then wheel
Money - The minimum for a gaming computer, I'd say 1,100 (already built) but if you build it your self then i'd say 800. If you have enough spare change and want to buy the best then it would be something like 4,000 (Already Built) Build it ur self you would cut the cost to around 3,200
Fun - If you don't have a job, and you live with your parents or something like that (no rent or anything) Then this would be perfect. But if you have a job then you'd be only playing about 2 hours a day, and on weekends (which is pointless if you paid this much money on it)

Knowing the maps is not enough to get started, you need to find 3 teammates who are on your skillset, and practice with them consistantly, then you need to find a coach, then you can go out and compete and see how you stack up. Its alot of time, effort, money, ect so make sure your ready before going.
Also to the guy who answered, you dont slap around "Pros" Every day on gears of war, 100's of people claim to be pro, but havent actually gone to compete at any live event. And pretty much all the Gears of war pro players are playing Gears of War 3.

I believe that the only way that this is possible is to put the picture onto an ipod, and then plug that ipod into the Xbox. From there, you should be able to choose the ipod as a storage device and select pictures from the ipod. Seems like I can't escape that mob mentality and the flames that accompany it. I don't look for trouble, but I'm in the minority as far as my gaming opinions go. Can I copy my gamer tag on to my xbox hardrive instead of recovery?
I have two xbox's at my two parents houses and i recover my gamertag from each time I switch houses. And when I turn my 'base' xbox on where I created the gamertag, it says you must recover the profile again or copy it. I don't know what this means, so can someone explain it to me? I just am wondering if there is a better way than continuos recovery?Can I copy my gamer tag on to my xbox hardrive instead of recovery?Well you can save just the account on one of the 12mb (or what ever size) memory cards that microsoft sells. This will save you the download time, but the only thing it will really do is carry your gamerscore, saved games wont unless you save them there.

Quad core does not help if your game isn't multi-threaded. HAving said that other things can benefit from quad core such as having many programs open at once, but you said you were an extreme gamer so you already shut down all programs when you are gaming. You really shouldn't get any of those processors that you listed. Intel Core i7 was released yesterday.

Its a matter of WHICH Quad Cores.
Core2Quads are just two core 2 duos. There are some limitations. Where as AMD does have all cores talk to each other.
the NEW Intel Quad cores (I'm not sure if they are out yet) use all 4 quads. and if you system doesn't need all 4 cores, it shuts one or two down and uses the power to overclock the other two.
The more cores you have the better off you are. Call of duty word and word (came out last week) says it is built for multiple cores. More and more games well use all the cores you have. Intel plans on bringing out a 8 core processor next year.
