I'm planning to apply for Nursing in Uni, but I got confused on the UCAS application...
I'm still on first year of A Levels by the way...Difference between adult, child and mental health nursing?Adult nursing is to train to take care of adults.
Child nursing is to train to take care of children.
Mental health nursing is to train to take care of the mentally ill.Difference between adult, child and mental health nursing?I thought nursing was one degree which you specialised in later but maybe i was incorrect!
If you intend to take a medicine degree then you want to take the plain standard nursing degree which i think is adult nursing. Mental heath nursing is more in the mental health area than the general medicine area. As child nursing is specifically for children. You would be specialising too soon.
However after saying all that i'm pretty sure you can go on to do graduate medicine with even a science or health related degree so in that case which ever nursing you pick it shouldn't really matter. As well as going on to do the Graduate degree in medicine you can also apply for the normal 5 year medicine course.
Basically out of all those options you have listed taking any of them should be fine!
