my first child is 8 years old and through caeser.my health is good and i look atleast 5 years yonger.is there any risk of planning for second baby nowIam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?Your risk of down's syndrome and other genetic anomalies goes up the older you are. The fact that you look 5 years younger doesn't make any assessment about your health or fertility. You should consult your OB before you start trying to conceive so you can be fully informed on any risks you may face by becoming pregnant.Iam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?
Yes, there are risks. For example, risk of Downs Syndrome increases with maternal age over 35. That being said, lots of women have healthy babies over the age of 35. Your doctor just might recommend more prenatal screening tests for you.

Women over age 35 have an increased risk of:
Fertility problems
High blood pressure
Diabetes
Multiple pregnancy (twins or more)
Miscarriage
Placenta previa, a condition in which the placenta is in the wrong place and covers the cervix
Cesarean section
A baby with a genetic disorder
Because of these increased risks for women over 35, prenatal care is especially important.
Most healthy women from age 35 into their 40s have healthy pregnancies. Most women over 35 are in good health. Good prenatal care and healthy habits can help you reduce certain risks. If problems do arise for women over 35, they can usually be successfully treated.Iam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?there is a risk of conceiving after the age of 35. if you want to have another baby then have at it!! that is exciting. you are in good health...age is just a number sometimes. you can talk to your doctor and make sure you get the go ahead, but you should be ok. good luck to you. :) lots of baby dust to you honey!! :)Iam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?
Yes, you can have another child. Yes, you have some increased risk both for yourself and your baby. The biggest risk for you is increased chance of blood pressure problems and Gest. Diabetes. Your child has a higher chance of having chromosomal abnormalities. You should also check with your physician to see if you still have immunity to rubella. Many women lose that over time (or never developed it in the first place). I went for a pre-pregnancy check up and that resolved a lot of questions/concerns. Unfortunately, I have another health problem (retina problem) that has delayed, yet again, having a baby (sigh).Iam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?dont worry, you can prepare for another baby now. my best wishes.Iam 38 years old with one child.i have perfect health.can i have another child?is there any risk?
there are always risks with birth no matter what you age...my sister had healthy twins at 40 and she wasnt very fit...there are some risks which are made bigger by your age but the doctors will watch out for that...go for it!
