When do you know if it is ok to turn a parent if for what you feel is mental abuse or could this be physical abuse?
There are many extreme incidents of this compulsive mother that would cause her to be investigated. However, we are non-biological (dad and grandma). We are so affraid the child will be put in a foster home rather than to let us have him.
Any thoughts? The child's health is ignored. Mom will not get a doctor. Will nonbiological dad get child if guilty? You should talk to a family law lawyer. They might be able to give you some free advice.
I think you could go through classes to be foster parents, though, and that would help your case.
If non-biological dad ever adopted, there is no problem.
If not, it will also probably be considered how long he has been in the child's life.
The courts do TRY to do what's best for the child.
