Working in child care with a mental health problem?

hi and thanks first of all......

is it possible to work in a child care setting with a labelled mental health problem? ie a nursery?Working in child care with a mental health problem?Yes! As long as the symptoms are under control and it does not interfere with your ability to carry out your job, it should not be a problem. You can always get a letter of support from your GP or CPN if you have one in support of your application. I have worked in a children's home and was honest about my mental health problems on the health disclosure form. My manager said she saw the fact that I sought professional help as a positive, rather than just doing nothing about my illness and letting it get worse for myself. Good luck with your job hunting.Working in child care with a mental health problem?

Working in child care with a mental health problem?Hi. I work as a youth worker. I've been there for 5 and a bit years and 've had mental health problems since I was 13 and been off work for admissions to a psychiatric ward. My boss knows about my mental health problems and are ok with it as long as I keep them informed if I'm not coping or too ill to work. I work with ages 5 to 18. As long as I keep my mental health problems out the workplace, don't disclose my mental health problems to any children or young people I work with and if I'm ill take time off and keep my boss informed then it's been fine. I had to have an occupational health assessment but it was all fine. I'm managing my illness and that is the key thing. Hope that helps answer your question a bit.Working in child care with a mental health problem?
I doubt it. Nurseries are stressful places, children crying and misbehaving. You would need a calm nature to deal with it.Working in child care with a mental health problem?i supose it would be fine if u have the illness under extreme control!
